About Us
The Oakwood Dolphins Swim Team is a competitive
summer swimming program sponsored by the City of
Oakwood.
Membership on the team is restricted to residents of the City of
Oakwood.
To become a team member, a swimmer must first be a member of the
City of Oakwood’s
Gardner Pool and then sign up separately for the swim team.
The team is a member of the Miami Valley Swimming
Association (MVSA). You may visit the league website at
www.mvsaohio.org.
Other teams in the MVSA include Clinton County
(Wilmington), Forest Ridge, Yellow
Springs, Blue Dolphins (Waynesville), Greene Valley (Beavercreek), People’s Aquatic Club (Dayton), and Wayne (Huber Heights).
Dual meets are held throughout the summer against these clubs on
Tuesday and Thursday nights.
In general, half the meets are at home and the other half are at
the opposing team’s pool.
Oakwood is the three-time defending league champion.
Practices begin the Monday after the conclusion of
school and continue through July.
Practices take place Monday through Friday and begin at 8:00 AM.
